Noise Absorber

Polydamp® Acoustical Foam Ether Type

Polydamp Acoustical Foam (PAF) is an acoustical grade, open cell, flexible ether based urethane foam designed to give maximum sound absorption per given thickness. Ether foams offer excellent resistance to heat, moisture, chemicals and are hydrolytically stable.

Density 1.8lb/ft³
Temperature Range -45 deg F to 212 deg F, Intermittent 250 deg F
Flammability UL94 - HF-1 Listed
Available with a wide variety of film facings and pressure sensitive adhesives

Applications include medical equipment, power generation and construction equipment.

Polydamp® Acoustical Foam Ester Type

Polydamp® Acoustical Foam (PAFS) is an open cell, flexible polyester based acoustical grade, polyurethane foam designed to give maximum sound absorption per given thickness. Ester foams offer excellent resistance to heat, moisture, chemicals and superior physical properties.

Density 2.0lb/ft³
Temperature Range -45 deg F to 212 deg F, Intermittent 250 deg F
Flammability UL94 - HF-1 Listed
Available with a wide variety of film facings and pressure sensitive adhesives

Applications include medical equipment, business equipment & equipment cab compartments

Polydamp® Melamine Foam (PMF)

Polydamp® Melamine Foam (PMF) is an extremely lightweight insulation material which exhibits exceptional resistance to heat, low flame propagation and smoke. It possesses excellent thermal and acoustical insulation properties.

Density of 0.60 lbs/ft³
Temperature range continuous -300 to 300 deg F; intermittent to 375 deg F
K factor of 0.25 at 68 deg F
UL94 V-0 listed
Meets all aircraft, HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards
Resilient to vibration and compression set
Facings available: Reinforced Aluminum Foil, Tedlar, Fire-Retardant Urethanes, and others
Pressure Sensitive Adhesives also available for easy installation

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine Foam

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine foam (PHM) is an enhanced version of PMF, offering exceptional water-resistance properties, previously unattainable with standard melamine foam, while maintaining all other key attributes. Floats indefinitely in water; water streams bead-up on surface and roll-off.

Density of 0.63 lbs/ft³
Temperature range continuous -300 to 300 deg F; intermittent to 375 deg F
K factor of 0.25 at 68 F
UL94 V-0 listed
Meets all aircraft (FAA, BSS, etc), HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards
Resilient to vibration and compression set (unlike solimide/polyimide foam and fiberglass)
Facings available: Metalized PVF and APK films (Aircraft approved), Reinforced Aluminum Foil, Tedlar, Fire-Retardant Urethanes, and others
Fire-retardant and standard pressure sensitive adhesives also available for easy installation

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others

Polydamp® Polyimide Foam

Polydamp® Polyimide Foam (PPF) is an extremely lightweight insulation material which exhibits exceptional resistance to heat, low flame propagation and smoke.

Density of 0.60 lbs/ft³
Temperature range continuous of -238 to 500 deg F
K factor of 0.29 at 68 deg F
UL94 V-0 listed
Meets all aircraft, HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards
Facings available: Reinforced Aluminum Foil, Tedlar, Fire-Retardant Urethanes, and others
Pressure Sensitive Adhesives also available for easy installation

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall and fuselage insulation within a variety of industries, but primarily used in aerospace and shipboard industries.
