Creating a culture within Polymer Technologies that is conducive to continual improvement and excellence is very important to us. Our Quality Management System consists of procedures and work instructions that describe our processes. Procedures are tailored to satisfy customer requirements. Monthly Steering Committee Meetings are held between three departments: Operations, Quality and Sales for the purpose of reviewing the current state of the quality system and foster continuous improvement to our QMS system. In addition, Management Meetings are chaired by the President of the company and held quarterly to review the overall health of the quality system. Staffing requirements, capital commitment, and training needs for the future are discussed.
Systems and processes are used that ensure product integrity, reliability and delivery and support our philosophy to deliver excellent value to our customers through a continued effort to improve our products and services.
Continuous Improvement Programs
A company wide training initiative is in place for Lean Manufacturing. Training began in April 2002, with training and implementation completed by December, 2002. Polymer Technologies has established a relationship with Delaware Manufacturing Extension Partnership and Delaware Economic Development which supports and assists with our training initiatives.
