Polymer Technologies Announces Polytech® Heat Shield Tubing

This large, high-performance piece of machinery aides in insulation installation and helps eliminate trapped air resulting in unrivaled project excellence.

NEWARK, DE—Polymer Technologies, Inc., Newark, DE a pioneer in the development of composites for acoustical, thermal and vibration solutions, announces the availability of a recent addition to their line of thermal management products, Polytech® Heat Shield Tubing (HST). It is a unique flexible heat shield tubing available with various diameters up to 10". This product is comprised of a durable, foil-faced fiberglass fabric that has been sewn into a continuous tube. It is supplied flat in 50' coils for ease of use where various lengths may be required. It is suitable for use to encapsulate hoses or wire bundles in engine compartments and other areas where the temperature may reach up to 1000°F (538°C). The product retains good residual strength even after exposed to an open flame. It can be cut with a utility knife or commercial scissors.
