Extend the life of your rubber using Polymer Technologies' line of DuraFlex® rubber compounds. Our rubber offers ultra-high resilience and fatigue life and is renowned for its use in vibration isolation mounts and tire compounds. DuraFlex® rubber scored a 0° temperature rise on the Goodrich Flexometer Test—that’s the lowest of any rubber!
Due to its superior abrasion resistance, high tensile strength, and high fatigue-life, DuraFlex® is an ideal vibration isolation rubber, APU mounts, radiator mounts, exhaust stack mounts, tire compounds, and more. The synthesized rubber blend offers unique heat and wear-resistant properties, that make DuraFlex® the only mount that can hold up for over 1 million miles. Our line of DuraFlex® rubber provides a variety of custom compounds suitable for applications involving tire formulations, conveyor belts, and other military uses.
Polymer Technologies uses Duraflex® rubber in many of its vibration isolation solutions because of its natural vibration isolation properties.
Finding the right rubber for the job can be a challenge, as different rubber compounds provide unique benefits and limitations. Natural rubbers come from the Pará rubber tree and offer good dynamic performance, but are more easily damaged by sunlight, chemicals, and heat. Synthetic rubbers are created from petroleum and are more resistant to oils, chemicals, oxygen, and temperature fluctuations. DuraFlex® is a blend of natural and synthetic rubbers to provide the most beneficial properties of both types of rubber. By combining the best of both, DuraFlex® has the highest known resiliency of any rubber blend in existence, but seeing is believing. Check out the comparison chart to see how DuraFlex® holds up when compared to other rubbers.
