Polydamp® Melamine Foam

Polydamp® Melamine Foam (PMF) is an extremely lightweight insulation material which exhibits exceptional resistance to heat, low flame propagation and smoke. It possesses excellent thermal and acoustical insulation properties.

Density of 0.60 lbs/ft³
Temperature range of -300 deg to 300 deg F; intermittent to 375 deg F
Flammability: UL94 V-0, FAR 25.856,8557365
K factor of 0.25 at 68 deg F

Meets all aircraft, HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards

Facings available: Reinforced Aluminum Foil, Tedlar, Fire-Retardant Urethanes, and others
Pressure Sensitive Adhesives also available for easy installation

Applications range from insulation within power generator exhaust compartments, HVAC ducts, and many others.

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine Foam

Polydamp® Hydrophobic Melamine foam (PHM) is an enhanced version of PMF, offering exceptional water-resistance properties, previously unattainable with standard melamine foam, while maintaining all other key attributes.

Density of 0.63 lbs/ft³
Temperature range: –300 deg F to 300 deg F; intermittent to 375 deg F
Flammability: UL94 V-0, FAR 25.856,8557365

K factor of 0.25 at 68 deg F

Floats indefinitely in water; water streams bead-up on surface and roll-off
Meets all aircraft (FAA, BSS, etc), HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards
Facings available: Metalized PVF and APK films (Aircraft approved), Reinforced Aluminum Foil, Tedlar, Fire-Retardant Urethanes, and others
Resilient to vibration and compression set (unlike solimide/polyimide foam and fiberglass)

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall/fuselage insulation in aircraft, mass transit, and many others.

Polydamp® Low Emissivity Foam

Polydamp® Low Emissivity Foam (PLE) is a lightweight, composite insulation material designed to address all three thermal issues: conduction, convection and radiation. Its composite construction of a reinforced aluminum foil on either side of a low-density, closed cell foam make it an ideal insulation material.

Weighs 0.75 oz/ft² at 0.25" thick
Temperature Range: -60 deg F to 180 deg F
Flammability: FMVSS302; Meets all HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards

R Value of 7.55 up to 10.74, depending on installation

Emissivity Value of 0.032
Highly polished foil facing reflects 98% of radiant heat
Excellent Condensation/Vapor Barrier with a Perm Rating of 0.008
Available in 0.125", 0.1875", 0.25" and 0.50" (tri-foil) thicknesses

Applications include equipment where operators or components need to be kept at very stable temperatures, including walls, HVAC ducts, etc.

Polydamp® Polyimide Foam

Polydamp® Polyimide Foam (PPF) is an extremely lightweight insulation material which exhibits exceptional resistance to heat, low flame propagation and smoke.

Density of 0.60 lbs/ft³
Temperature range -238 deg to 500 deg F
Flammability: UL94 V-0 listed.  Meets all aircraft, coastguard, HVAC and transportation (rail) flame, smoke and toxicity standards

K factor of 0.29 at 68 deg F

Applications range from HVAC and ECS ducts to wall and fuselage insulation within a variety of industries, but primarily used in aerospace and shipboard industries.

Polytech® Heat Shield

Polytech® Heat Shield (HS-0035-ALVA3) is an aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric and PSA composite designed to reflect radiant heat while offering excellent protection to high heat exposure.

Extremely thin (0.035") and lightweight (2.3 oz/ft²) composite allows for use virtually anywhere
Temperature up to 800 deg F in localized areas within a larger area of material
Highly polished foil reflects 98% of radiant energy

Extremely durable

Available as a facing on PMF and other foams to increase temperature resistance and thermal insulation properties

Applications include gas tanks and any other area exposed to extreme heat from exhaust pipes, turbos, etc.

Polytech® Heat Shield Tubing

Polytech® Heat Shield Tubing (HST) is an aluminum foil-faced fiberglass fabric composite designed to reflect radiant heat while offering excellent protection to high heat exposure.

Extremely thin (0.035") and lightweight (2.3 oz/ft²) composite allows for use virtually anywhere
Tube construction eases installation and assembly
Highly polished foil reflects 98% of radiant energy
